What is "one thirty west" anyway?
It all started with a Ping.
Step into our time machine back to 2013, when the roots of One Thirty West began to take hold.
Andrew, our founder, was rubbing elbows with Silicon Valley's tech giants in sunny Califorina. They had a pressing question, “How can we establish a presence across the pond in the UK?” And at that point, the spark for our business was ignited.
But, what’s a story without a name?
The origin of "One Thirty West" wasn't a random choice, it was destiny. There was Andrew, brainstorming over a cup of artisanal coffee (probably), when an idea struck.
Ping times.
In tech, ping times are crucial — they’re the heartbeat of communication. At that time, the digital pulse between London and San Francisco was around 130 milliseconds. And with San Francisco lying west of London, the pieces just clicked together like Tetris blocks.
Today, One Thirty West stands not just as a name, but as a beacon of innovation, transatlantic collaboration, and creative thinking (with just a hint of ping-time inspiration).
